Interested in roller derby? GPRDA is currently recruiting Fresh Meat. It doesn’t matter if you have never skated before, we will teach you and help you find the gear that is right for you. To play roller derby or be a skating referee, whether recreationally or competitively you need the following:
Quad Roller Skates (yes the old school style)
Helmet, Mouthguard, Wrist Pads, Elbow Pads, Knee Pads.
When shopping for gear we encourage players to purchase the best they can with what they have. Whether new or used, your gear is important, but not as important as your willingness to try new things, desire for physical activity and fitness, and your love of being part of a team.
Not a skater, but still want to be involved in growing roller derby in Grande Prairie?GPRDA needs non skating officials, volunteers and corporate sponsorship.
